Registration for SLTB 2017 and abstract submission deadlines approaching!

Registration is open for SLTB 2017 in Cambridge, please see the circular for the meeting, here. You can register by downloading the registration form here or the usual methods at the meeting itself.

Please note, card payments cannot be taken at the meeting itself, however if you want to pay by paypal or credit card, this facility is available online now. Please just select the delegate option you wish below and click Buy Now, where you will be taken to Paypal and given the option to either pay from a paypal account, if you have one, or enter credit card details and pay as a "Guest". Please ensure you put the names of all delegates in the details so we can register everyone individually. 

Deadline for registration is 8th September 2017.

 

Abstract submission deadline has been extended to 28th August 2017 so please submit your abstracts ASAP to be considered for a free talk or poster. Abstract submission forms are available here! Remember, Audrey Smith travel awards are only available to apply for if the student is presenting.

The meeting will include a drinks reception at BAS and the conference dinner (not included) will be held at La Stada Restaurant at 19.30 on the 19th September and is open to all registered attendees - please indicate whether you will be attending the dinner so numbers can be booked.

Please also note that no centralised accommodation has been booked and that individual delegates should arrange their accommodation as early as possible. If you are still looking for affordable accommodation in Cambridge, UniversityRooms.com has a limited number of student rooms still available to anyone booking through their website.

Our Aims & Benefits

SLTB exists

To advance the education of the public in the science of low temperature biology.

The Society holds at least one main meeting each year. The Audrey Smith Travel Fund provides support for members of the Society for Low Temperature Biology to attend conferences and meetings.

History

The Society for Low Temperature Biology (SLTB) was founded in 1964, it became a Registered Charity in 2003 (Charity Commission for England & Wales No. 1099747) with the purpose of promoting research into the effects of low temperatures on all types of organisms and their constituent cells, tissues and organs. Such studies have applications in diverse scientific fields, from biology and medicine to engineering , conservation and environmental science.
